Part of the IGCP-628 team went to the coastal city of Viña del Mar, in Chile, to participate on the International Geological Congress in the Southern Emisphere – GEOSUR 2013. During the event the team got in touch with the main and latest discussions about southern South America geology, mainly Chile and Argentina.
At this event a poster was exposed with the state of the art of the Geological Map of South America and the first representation of the Geological Map of Gondwana, made by the project.
