Madagascar occupies an important location within the East African Orogen, and Central Madagascar is comprised of a number of Precambrian units. The project had a target at Ikalamavony region within the Ikalamavony Group which consists of metasedimentary successions. The aim of the field work was geological reconnaissance and detailed geological mapping combined with geochronological data that produced a Bachelor Thesis and an ongoing Master Dissertation.
